What are corrective arch supports?
Corrective arch supports re-position the bones, ligaments, muscles and tendons in the foot.
Do I need arch supports?
If you suffer from foot pain or discomfort caused by a mis-aligned foot bio-mechanism, like flat feet or high arches, corrective arch supports are suggested. If you are on your feet most of the day, arch supports may contribute to an improved posture depending on the specific foot and back issues involved. Certain prevalent foot problems can also be successfully addressed by using reputable corrective arch supports. Many indeviduals who don’t manifest any significant foot issues have reported multiple positive results from wearing the Alznner®. This can be put down to the correct support and stimulation enjoyed and optimized gait.
In what way do corrective arch supports differ from custom-made devices?
A custom made Orthotic, is usually an accommodative device which while helpful for comfort, does not train the foot to effectively support the body’s full weight on all its arches.
Custom made orthotics are based on plaster and other cast moulds, or foam impressions that are moulded from the foot. Thus if the feet are structurally unsound, this custom made kind of orthotic device will to some degree only reflect the existing faulty structure of the foot, obviously with no beneficial results in terms of correction other than mere comfort.
The Alznner® and its related corrective arch supports are engineered to provide the optimum shape for your foot to adapt to and adopt. They work therapeutically on the structures under the feet to align and strengthen them.
Do your arch supports differ from over the counter or off the shelf devices?
Yes. The Alznners® are professionally fitted to each arch whereas over the counter and off the shelf devices are not tailor-fitted for each unique arch and are instead designed to fit a variety of shoe sizes, often giving no accurate support for the metatarsal arch which may have a detrimental result.
It is critical for an effective corrective Orthotic to be in exactly the right position to optimally support all the arches which is why The Alznner® is unique.
The proprietary materials used in Alznners® are of top quality and hold their shape extremely well. There are no noxious substances, for example lead (a neuro toxin) which has been found in some shoe wear.
Correct positioning will not be possible over 2 to 4 shoe sizes and will merely result in a little more than cushioning.
Tell me a bit more about web based sales?
Arch supports bought over the internet are also done by shoe size, which again does not cater for a perfect arch fit. Arch sizing is a unique art that has to be done by a specially trained provider.
Purchasing online does not lend itself to checking the quality and design. Also, though the size might be known, the foot arch needs to be sized too. One shoe size support will not meet the needs of every foot arch. Internet orders also do not cater for a specific life style, sporting activities, body type, or age.
An estimate is all that can be provided online instead of a professionally accurate measurement for the specific needs of the foot.
The ORIGINAL ALZNNER® AND RELATED ORTHOTICS are not available to order online because it is vital to be accurately measured for sizing. If there is no practioner agent near you please give us a call by clicking on the Contact Us button below and we can assist.
Will your Orthotics work in all my footwear?
Our orthotics are designed to fit in most footwear. However please keep in mind that different shoe designs and styles result in slight differences in sizing, for example if you wear a size 11 in a certain make of shoe, you may have to purchase a size 11.5 or an 10.5 in another make.
Also a larger or wider shoe may be needed during cold seasons compared to hotter weather in summer to make room for thicker socks and other warmer foot gear.
